In Tyrone nearly only the cities are inhabited, the landscape is almost empty of men. However, there are a lot of Celtic remains that are worthwhile visiting and exploring. The Beaghmore stone circle that has been uncovered only forty years ago is one of the tourist attractions Tyrone has to offer. Another place worthwhile seeing is Gortin Glen from where you have marvellous views over the Gortin lakes and the area. The Gortin Glen Forest Park is also located there providing beautiful walks and nature. Another site to be recommended is the Arboe Monument, located at “the hill of the cow” on the west shore of Lough Neagh.
